TAPE! oh no hurricane shutters all the way .. zbix dont tape your windows get plywood and cover the window ... all the tape will do is prevent shatter.. you need to prevent airflow so your roof doesnt fly off (happened to alot of people during andrew) put all lawn furniture inside the house or into your swimming pool(yeah its wierd but it works) fill your bath tubs with water as well as your sink atleast 2 to 3 hours before the storm and buy lots of batteries and propane if you have tank ( i lived through andrew and it was not fun i can assure you .. especially having 2 weeks without even a grocery store open


are you talking about bonnie or charley? im getting charley bonnie is the one hitting the pan handle

we've lived through countless hurricanes ourselves over the last 30 years so we know the drill all to well. It's nice being in a rental this time around where the drill is "grab renter's insurance policy, go stay in hotel in atlanta and let landlady sweat it out" if it does come our way.

the worst in recent memory for us was Georges. it didn't do a terrible amount of damage but for whatever reason it took an eternity to get our power back on. This will however be my first hurricane on the east coast instead of the gulf...woohoo!

GEORGES WAS A PAIN!!

irene was even worse for us down here .. im just hoping it doesnt do too much damage .. the main concern with power is that usually a storm will hit a particular area and no more than one at a time .. right now we have two different storms.. the main concern is that usually other power companies will have their workers go to help out the areas that are affected and the more storms the thinnerthe numbers the longer the restoration.. im hoping i dont lose at all this time buyt that will just be pure luck
