I've been reading and thinking ... so here's some rambling thought from me.

Do we really want to see the Elemental Planes?
If so, do we have the numbers and equipment to get there?
If not, how do we achieve it?

Personally, I'd like to get to the Elemental Planes. (I'd like to visit every zone at least once and see what they have to offer for that matter.) But, at the moment, we're not equipped to get there. Our equipment for most of our 50+ characters isn't what it needs to be and we dont have the manpower to get there.

Just to get our Terris Thule flag, we're going to need 30-40 people all flagged through the Hedge Maze... and that's the very beginning of the planes! Then we've got to get them all in one place at one time.

Can we do it? Heck yeah!
We've shown amazing ability in the last 6 months in what we're now able to accomplish. Who'd have thought we'd need to fight down to the King in Chardok this past Saturday? I dreaded it to be honest. We'd been there and died there several times before. We SPANKED that zone. Made 'em cry.
Why? We're better equipped, higher level, more disciplined than we were. And it's only going to get better from here.

What do I think we'll need to succeed in this?
I think we need more people interested in seeing these things and achieving some of these goals. It's gonna take us some time to get this done. If no one is interested, there's nothing that we'll be able to do. We can still hunt and raid and trades and hang out ... but we wont hit the highest end stuff.

If that's what you want or need, great! Nothing to keep you from doing that. But, if you want to see some of the planes, or get some higher gear ... it'll call for some work on our parts. Yours and mine. Why mine? Cause I LOVE helping you guys achieve things. You want to score some fantastic breastplate that only drops from one mob in Kael Drakkal? Fantastic, lets go get 'im. Need something in particular from somewhere else? Great! I'm ready ... are you?

Drexx, well put on what you had to say...but...I in no way, shape, or form where trying to offend, threaten, nor step on anybodies feet, based on your quotes Drexx that you mastermindedly sniffed out, where quotes from complete opinions and suggestions and any of them where there for the thought of making people upset. Simply put, if you didn't like what i had to say, don't say anything, I am only giving opinions here and not forcing anyone to do anything.

True, Officers do not make you do anything, but in that case, what is the true reason for an officer? Why is making someone an officer such a big deal?

The people that I refer to, Drexx, would be people like Irodanis (Who was the true reason why I made a bard in the first place, before my main was a warrior) Zbik, caldeen, Tylara (is he even in guild anymore??) Rogier, heck I remember when Tanliel was mid 20s and me and him where messin around in WK...and yes these are all old school WoV people, there are more, just can't think off the top of my head right at this moment.

Even while I was in WoV the regular members wanted to strive for higher end game zones but would instead rather settle for less, I don't consider myself a hard core raider, and yes I get a big sense of fun from turning my computer and hanging out with friends, but time that I am sitting on EQ, while I am playing, be it LFG or what not, going to elementals is awesome, something that I am still proud of doing...On...my...own, for those of you who enjoy doing tradeskills heavily, you can easily get components from EP than spending time in bazaar shopping.

Moral of this: Ya'll are going to do what Ya'll want to do, no real need in spending time flaming posts every which way, if you don't like what is said, by all means do what you got to do, but not to people who are trying to help. If you agree with what is said, say something, let the person who is trying to help know that he is doing it and that he should continue helping.

Very enthusiastic, no wonder you are a bard my good friend. I too would like to see the planes and do battle with the evil that infests there. I have, as yet, to only look upon the pedistal that will take me to join the crusade against the foul creatures that rule an reign there. But I am close to the 46th circle in my order. I agree with Tan's post.. and as for his questions on how we'll get there.. I suggest you read the very first post that started this thread , those interested should join the channel and join in the planning and execution of getting together to get these things hammered out. As for all the posts in between, Thank you for the Input! WoV will be WoV, but others peoples perspectives should be encouraged. They help us grow and learn, even if we disagree with them. We can still pick out the pieces of knowledge they share that we Do want to use.
